Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain accurate employee records in HR systems and physical files, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Support the full recruitment lifecycle, including posting job requisitions, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and preparing offer letters.
- Facilitate new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition and positive experience for all new hires.
- Assist with various HR programs and initiatives, such as performance management, training, and employee engagement events.
- Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and general HR-related questions, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Process HR-related paperwork, including changes in employment status, terminations, and leave requests.
- Generate HR reports and analytics as needed to support HR business partners and management.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and discretion in handling all sensitive employee information and HR matters.
- Collaborate with payroll, benefits, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee data.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives to continuously improve HR processes and services.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an HR Coordinator or in a similar HR administrative role.
- Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- HR certification (e.g., CPHR, CHRP) is an asset.
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or similar HR software.
- Familiarity with Alberta employment laws and regulations.
- Experience in a large, multinational organization, particularly within the CPG industry.
