Job Description

We are actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Housekeeping Attendant to join our supportive team at Langdale Place. This vital role is at the heart of maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming residential environment for our residents. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout our facility, including resident apartments and common areas. Your work directly contributes to the quality of life and comfort of our residents, creating a pleasant and hygienic living space they are proud to call home. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks in resident apartments, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing bathrooms, and changing linens.
  • Clean and sanitize common areas such as lounges, dining rooms, hallways, and activity rooms to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
  • Empty wastebaskets, transport trash and waste to designated disposal areas, and ensure proper waste management protocols are followed.
  • Replenish supplies in resident bathrooms and common areas, including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Handle laundry services for residents and facility linens, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing items.
  • Identify and report any maintenance needs, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to supervisory staff promptly.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety and infection control policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Interact with residents in a courteous, respectful, and compassionate manner, respecting their privacy and personal space.

Required Skills

  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently and independently.
  • Dependability and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping, environmental services, or a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or residential setting.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment, and safety procedures.
