We are seeking a dedicated and discreet Housekeeper to take full responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and general upkeep of a beautiful family residence. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of all areas within the family home, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Manage all laundry duties, including washing, ironing, folding, and organizing clothes and linens with care.
- Oversee the organisation of cupboards, wardrobes, and storage areas, ensuring tidiness and efficiency.
- Care for delicate items, furniture, and special surfaces according to specific instructions.
- Handle light meal preparation and grocery shopping as required, coordinating with the family on preferences and dietary needs.
- Maintain kitchen and bathroom hygiene to the highest standards.
- Report any maintenance issues or necessary repairs to the family promptly.
- Manage household supplies, keeping an inventory and restocking as needed.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and discretion regarding family privacy.
- Occasional pet care duties, if applicable and discussed with the family.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a professional Housekeeper in a private residence or luxury hotel setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to cleaning and organisation.
- Strong knowledge of various cleaning products, equipment, and techniques for different surfaces.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a strong sense of integrity.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively without direct supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and a respectful, discreet demeanour.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding cleaning tasks.
- Right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal training or certifications in professional housekeeping or hospitality.
- First Aid certification.
- Clean driving license and access to own transport (advantageous for errands/shopping).
- Experience with advanced laundry care, including delicate fabrics and stain removal.
- Flexibility to adapt to the family's changing schedule or occasional special requests.
- Positive references from previous private household employers.
