Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and offering a signature DoubleTree cookie.
- Perform efficient check-in and check-out procedures, managing guest accounts, processing payments, and verifying reservation details accurately.
- Handle all guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally, actively listening and resolving issues to guest satisfaction.
- Manage incoming calls, direct them appropriately, and provide comprehensive information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Process new reservations, modifications, and cancellations with precision using the property management system (PMS).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable front desk and lobby area, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments (Housekeeping, Concierge, Bell Staff, Food & Beverage) to ensure seamless guest service and operational efficiency.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including sorting mail, managing wake-up calls, and preparing daily reports.
- Adhere strictly to all hotel safety, security, and cash-handling procedures, including maintaining guest confidentiality.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service or front desk role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a clear and professional telephone etiquette.
- Proficiency with computers and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, email applications).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks efficiently, and remain calm under pressure in a busy environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, guest-oriented attitude.
- A positive, professional, and friendly demeanor, with a genuine passion for serving others.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as part of a 24/7 operation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) such as OnQ, Opera, or similar Hilton-branded systems.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a significant advantage in our diverse community.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or higher in Hospitality Management or a related field is a plus.
