Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and manage the check-in and check-out process efficiently and accurately.
  • Handle all guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating complex issues as necessary.
  • Process payments, maintain accurate guest accounts, and manage cash handling procedures according to company policy.
  • Answer multi-line phone systems, direct calls, and take messages accurately and professionally.
  • Assist guests with luggage, transportation arrangements, and provide insightful local recommendations.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming front desk area, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with housekeeping, concierge, and other departments to ensure flawless guest experiences.
  • Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations, ensuring all details are correctly entered into the property management system.
  • Promote hotel services, amenities, and loyalty programs to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue generation.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all hotel policies, safety procedures, and Marriott brand standards.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within the hospitality sector.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to assist guests.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance consistently.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with property management systems (PMS) such as Opera.
  • Fluency in a second language (e.g., Spanish) to better serve our diverse guest base.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Tampa Bay area's attractions, dining scene, and local events.
  • A degree or certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience handling cash and credit card transactions with precision.
