Key Responsibilities

  • Extend a warm welcome and efficiently register guests upon their arrival, assigning rooms and issuing secure keys.
  • Expertly process guest check-ins and check-outs, meticulously handling payments and issuing accurate receipts.
  • Manage all incoming calls, emails, and online inquiries, providing precise information and handling reservation requests.
  • Maintain an impeccably organized and clean front desk area, ensuring a consistently professional and inviting appearance.
  • Respond promptly, courteously, and effectively to all guest requests, complaints, and special needs, ensuring ultimate guest satisfaction.
  • Provide comprehensive and insightful information about the hotel's services, facilities, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Accurately handle cash, process credit card transactions, and maintain precise daily financial records and reports.
  • Efficiently coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest rooms are perfectly prepared and maintained.
  • Proactively monitor security cameras and diligently report any suspicious activities or incidents to management.
  • Assist with essential administrative tasks, including meticulous filing, accurate data entry, and timely report generation.
  • Be readily available for scheduled night shifts and on-call duties as a fundamental part of the live-in arrangement.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 1.5 years) as a Hotel Receptionist, Front Desk Agent, or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and superior communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) systems and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational abilities, excellent multitasking skills, and an unwavering attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a cohesive team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Prior experience working with online travel agencies (OTAs) and channel managers.
  • In-depth knowledge of local Surulere attractions, amenities, and public transportation routes.
