Prestige Park Hotel & Suites is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Entry-Level Hotel Porter to join our welcoming team in Bariga, Lagos. As a Hotel Porter, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, playing a crucial role in creating a positive and lasting first impression. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting guests with their luggage, guiding them to their rooms, providing information about hotel amenities and local attractions, and ensuring the lobby and public areas are always tidy and presentable. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests upon their arrival and departure.
  • Assist guests with the safe and efficient handling of their luggage, including loading and unloading from vehicles.
  • Escort guests to their rooms, providing a brief orientation of hotel facilities and room features.
  • Provide accurate information about hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and transportation options.
  • Assist guests with general inquiries and special requests, escalating to appropriate departments when necessary.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the hotel lobby, entrance area, and other public spaces.
  • Periodically check and ensure the functionality of lobby equipment and guest amenities.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries for guests and hotel operations.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down meeting rooms or event spaces as required.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest concerns and feedback.
  • Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with front desk, housekeeping, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experience.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and able to lift and carry luggage (up to 25 kg).
  • A positive, friendly, and professional demeanor.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Proactive and attentive to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., retail, food service) is a plus, but not essential.
  • Basic knowledge of Bariga and Lagos local attractions.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
