Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and meticulous Hotel Housekeepers to join our esteemed team at The St. Regis Toronto. Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and service assigned guest rooms and public areas according to established standards and procedures.
  • Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish amenities such as toiletries, towels, and stationery.
  • Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Clean bathrooms thoroughly, including sanitizing toilets, showers, and sinks.
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport soiled linens and trash to designated areas.
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items found in rooms or public areas to supervision.
  • Handle guest requests and complaints courteously and efficiently, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts, storage areas, and equipment.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Ensure all guest belongings are treated with care and respect, and lost and found procedures are followed.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in housekeeping or a similar role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks, including bending, lifting, pushing, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of English for communication with guests and team members.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
