Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and meticulous Hotel Housekeepers to join our esteemed team at The St. Regis Toronto. Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms and public areas according to established standards and procedures.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish amenities such as toiletries, towels, and stationery.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean bathrooms thoroughly, including sanitizing toilets, showers, and sinks.
- Empty wastebaskets and transport soiled linens and trash to designated areas.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items found in rooms or public areas to supervision.
- Handle guest requests and complaints courteously and efficiently, escalating to management when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts, storage areas, and equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Ensure all guest belongings are treated with care and respect, and lost and found procedures are followed.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in housekeeping or a similar role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks, including bending, lifting, pushing, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of English for communication with guests and team members.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
