Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and efficiently manage check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally, providing accurate information about the B&B, local attractions, dining, and transportation.
  • Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications through our booking system with precision.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate guest accounts.
  • Answer phones and respond to emails in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Assist guests with luggage and special requests, ensuring their comfort throughout their stay.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve minor issues with grace and efficiency, escalating when necessary.
  • Provide local recommendations and directions, enhancing the guest's Vancouver experience.
  • Perform light administrative duties as required to support the B&B operations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality or retail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and reservation systems (or ability to quickly learn).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • A friendly, professional, and positive demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a front desk agent in a hotel or bed & breakfast setting.
