Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome and register guests, assign rooms, and issue room keys.
  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and courteously.
  • Process payments, post charges, and handle cash, credit card, and direct billing transactions accurately.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Provide comprehensive information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions/events.
  • Manage reservations, modifications, and cancellations through the hotel's property management system.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls in a polite and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front desk area.
  • Collaborate with other departments (Housekeeping, Concierge, Bell Staff) to ensure seamless guest services.
  • Uphold hotel security procedures and guest privacy policies.
  • Assist with wake-up calls and provide special assistance to guests as needed.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, record-keeping, and preparing reports.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French (bilingualism is essential for Quebec City).
  • Proficiency with property management systems (e.g., OnQ, Opera) or similar booking software.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
