Executive Plaza Hotel Metro Vancouver is immediately seeking a dedicated Hotel Bell Service Trainee to join our exceptional Front Office team. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet all arriving and departing guests, providing a positive first and last impression.
  • Efficiently assist guests with luggage handling upon arrival and departure, ensuring items are delivered promptly and securely to their rooms or vehicles.
  • Provide accurate and helpful information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions in Coquitlam and Metro Vancouver.
  • Assist guests with directions, transportation arrangements, and booking local tours or reservations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lobby area, bell desk, and luggage storage room.
  • Run errands for guests and the front desk as required, ensuring timely completion.
  • Proactively anticipate guest needs and offer personalized assistance whenever possible.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Front Desk, Concierge, Valet, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures and policies.
  • Support the valet team by occasionally assisting with vehicle parking or retrieval when necessary.
  • Handle guest inquiries and minor complaints with professionalism and escalate complex issues to management.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • A positive, proactive, and energetic attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver's license (or equivalent) for occasional vehicle handling, if required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel or tourism setting.
  • Fluency in additional languages is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with Coquitlam and surrounding Metro Vancouver attractions and services.
  • Basic computer proficiency for administrative tasks.
