As an Entry Level Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) program. You will work closely with experienced EHS professionals, project teams, and facility management to identify potential hazards, implement preventive measures, and promote a strong safety culture amongst all stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of Honeywell's EHS policies, procedures, and programs at the work site.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Support the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near-misses, helping to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in developing and delivering safety training programs for employees and contractors.
- Prepare and maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and facility staff to ensure safety protocols are integrated into daily operations.
- Monitor the use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through awareness campaigns and continuous engagement with personnel.
- Stay informed about current safety legislation and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and EHS principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and observational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
