Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise efficiently and accurately.
  • Stock shelves, build displays, and ensure products are properly priced and tagged.
  • Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the sales floor, stockroom, and receiving areas.
  • Operate various equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (with proper certification/training), safely and effectively.
  • Assist customers with locating products and loading purchases, providing exceptional service.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies to management.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and ensure store readiness.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy merchandise (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency for inventory management systems.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stock handling role.
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar equipment (certification an asset).
  • Knowledge of home improvement products and departments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
