Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise efficiently and accurately.
- Stock shelves, build displays, and ensure products are properly priced and tagged.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the sales floor, stockroom, and receiving areas.
- Operate various equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (with proper certification/training), safely and effectively.
- Assist customers with locating products and loading purchases, providing exceptional service.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies to management.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and ensure store readiness.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy merchandise (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer proficiency for inventory management systems.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stock handling role.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar equipment (certification an asset).
- Knowledge of home improvement products and departments.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
