Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and stock incoming merchandise efficiently and accurately.
- Organize and maintain the receiving area and stockroom for optimal space utilization and safety.
- Operate various equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (with proper certification), to move materials.
- Verify product quantities against invoices and identify any discrepancies or damages.
- Prepare merchandise for the sales floor, including assembly, pricing, and display as needed.
- Ensure aisles are clear, products are readily accessible, and the store remains safe for both associates and customers.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with sales associates and other team members to facilitate smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy merchandise (up to 50 lbs.) consistently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to operational procedures.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or logistics environment.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
