Key Responsibilities
- Execute merchandising plans and directives to ensure products are stocked, priced, and displayed correctly.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe sales floor areas, ensuring products are easily accessible.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory management to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Set up promotional displays and signage, ensuring they are current and compliant with company standards.
- Assist customers with basic product inquiries and direct them to appropriate associates or departments.
- Collaborate effectively with store associates, department supervisors, and management.
- Identify and report product discrepancies, damaged goods, or safety hazards.
- Operate manual material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack) safely and efficiently, if certified.
- Participate in store opening and closing duties as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 lbs (23 kg) safely.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for inventory and pricing tasks.
- Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous retail or merchandising experience.
- Experience with material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift certification).
- Knowledge of home improvement products and departments.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
