Key Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, forklifts, and other machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform daily pre-operation and post-operation inspections on equipment, documenting findings and reporting any defects or necessary repairs.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines.
  • Perform minor equipment maintenance and cleaning as required.
  • Adhere to all relevant safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
  • Assist with other general labor duties as needed to support site operations.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, loaders, bulldozers)
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and safety procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret operating manuals and safety instructions
  • Physical fitness to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions
  • Excellent spatial awareness and coordination
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Heavy equipment operator certification or vocational training
  • Experience with GPS-guided equipment
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues
