Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, forklifts, and other machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform daily pre-operation and post-operation inspections on equipment, documenting findings and reporting any defects or necessary repairs.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines.
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and cleaning as required.
- Adhere to all relevant safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
- Assist with other general labor duties as needed to support site operations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, loaders, bulldozers)
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret operating manuals and safety instructions
- Physical fitness to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions
- Excellent spatial awareness and coordination
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Heavy equipment operator certification or vocational training
- Experience with GPS-guided equipment
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues
