Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitisation of patient rooms, clinical areas, waiting rooms, offices, and restrooms.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of waste following established protocols, including clinical waste procedures.
- Clean and disinfect surfaces, fixtures, fittings, and floors using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in designated areas.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers).
- Adhere strictly to HCA Healthcare's infection control policies and health and safety guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or faulty equipment to the appropriate supervisor promptly.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Monitor and manage cleaning supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Complete daily cleaning schedules and records accurately.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a cleaning role, preferably within a healthcare or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of hygiene and infection control principles.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and bending.

Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Cleaning and Support Services, or equivalent.
