Job Description
Are you a highly organized, customer-focused individual with a keen eye for detail? GTBank is seeking an experienced and dynamic Teller to join our vibrant team at the Bode Thomas, Surulere branch. This is an immediate start position for a professional ready to hit the ground running and deliver exceptional service from day one. As a GTBank Teller, you will be the face of our bank, playing a critical role in providing efficient and accurate financial transactions while fostering positive customer relationships.
You will be responsible for handling cash, processing deposits, withdrawals, and other banking transactions with utmost precision and adherence to strict regulatory guidelines. Beyond transactional duties, you will engage with customers, identify their needs, and effectively cross-sell relevant bank products and services. Your ability to maintain a balanced cash drawer, resolve customer inquiries courteously, and uphold GTBank’s reputation for excellent service will be paramount. Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, cheque cashing, and bill payments.
- Verify customer identity and transaction details to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer by accurately counting and reconciling cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering information on bank products and services.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell bank products (e.g., loans, credit cards, investment accounts) to meet customer needs and branch targets.
- Adhere strictly to all banking procedures, security protocols, and compliance regulations.
- Assist customers with the use of ATMs and other self-service banking channels.
- Collaborate with other branch staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive customer experience.
- Prepare and complete required daily reports and documentation.
- Escalate complex customer issues or suspicious activities to the appropriate supervisor.
