As a Digital Banking Officer, you will be responsible for driving the adoption and usage of GTBank’s digital platforms, including our mobile app, internet banking, USSD services, and other emerging digital channels. You will serve as a primary point of contact for customers seeking assistance with digital transactions, onboarding, troubleshooting, and general inquiries related to our online offerings. This role requires a blend of technical aptitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will educate customers on the features, benefits, and security aspects of our digital tools, ensuring they feel confident and comfortable managing their finances digitally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line support and guidance to customers on all GTBank digital banking products and services (e.g., Mobile App, Internet Banking, USSD, ATMs).
  • Assist customers with onboarding, registration, and activation of digital banking platforms.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints related to digital transactions, technical issues, and service disruptions promptly and efficiently.
  • Educate customers on the features, benefits, and security best practices of GTBank's digital solutions.
  • Promote and cross-sell new digital products and services to customers, encouraging adoption and usage.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations and ensure accuracy of digital banking transactions.
  • Gather customer feedback on digital platforms to contribute to product improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure strict adherence to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines, especially concerning digital banking security.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., IT, Operations, Marketing) to enhance digital service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in banking, financial services, or a customer service role with a strong digital focus.
  • Proven proficiency in using and explaining digital banking platforms and mobile applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts simply.
  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to data security.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant professional certification in banking, digital marketing, or customer service.
  • Familiarity with financial technology (FinTech) trends and innovations.
  • Experience with CRM software and digital support tools.
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics and customer needs in Akwa Ibom State.
