As a Production Operator, you will perform a variety of tasks related to the setup, operation, and maintenance of production machinery, ensuring all processes adhere to strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company standard operating procedures (SOPs). Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and machinery according to established procedures and production schedules.
- Perform in-process quality checks, record data accurately, and report any deviations or abnormalities promptly.
- Strictly adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all safety regulations.
- Load and unload materials, raw ingredients, and finished products as required, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Conduct routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas to maintain a sterile and compliant environment.
- Complete batch records, logbooks, and other required documentation with precision and in a timely manner.
- Participate in changeovers and setups of production lines, ensuring efficient transitions between product runs.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and quality assurance personnel to optimize production efficiency and resolve issues.
- Identify and communicate potential safety hazards or process improvements.
- Attend and actively participate in all mandatory training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production machinery
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system navigation
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Ability to follow complex instructions and adhere to strict procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Understanding of basic arithmetic for measurements and calculations
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical, food, or chemical manufacturing
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Forklift certification or experience operating powered industrial trucks
- Experience with automated manufacturing systems (e.g., MES, SCADA)
