Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store produce deliveries according to company standards and food safety guidelines.
- Stock shelves, bins, and refrigerated display cases with a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Rotate produce regularly to ensure optimal freshness and minimize waste, adhering strictly to 'first in, first out' principles.
- Monitor product quality and promptly remove any damaged, spoiled, or expired items from display.
- Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the entire produce department, including displays, storage areas, and all equipment.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service to customers, actively assisting them with product selection, location, and inquiries.
- Operate and maintain department equipment, such as scales, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently after proper training.
- Ensure accurate pricing and clear, consistent signage for all produce items.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and management to achieve departmental goals and enhance the overall store experience.
- Assist with inventory counts and order placement as required, contributing to efficient stock management.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.

- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a dynamic team-oriented environment.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs), stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

- Basic knowledge or interest in different types of fruits and vegetables and their handling.
- Familiarity with basic food safety and hygiene practices.
