Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Graphic Designer for a remote placement, based out of the Big Lake, Wasilla, Alaska region. This is a fantastic opportunity for a designer who thrives in a dynamic environment and is adept at translating complex concepts into compelling visual stories. As a key member of our Marketing and Communications team, you will be instrumental in developing and executing a wide array of visual assets that reflect the Alaska USA brand identity across all channels.
Your responsibilities will span from creating engaging digital content for our website, social media, and email campaigns to designing impactful print materials such as brochures, flyers, and advertisements. You will ensure brand consistency, visual appeal, and effectiveness across all designs, collaborating closely with marketers, content creators, and other stakeholders. This role requires a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in graphic design principles, typography, layout, and color theory, with a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while working independently in a remote capacity. Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce high-quality digital and print marketing materials, including web banners, social media graphics, email templates, brochures, flyers, posters, and advertisements.
- Ensure all visual designs adhere strictly to Alaska USA Federal Credit Union's brand guidelines and visual standards.
- Collaborate with the marketing, communications, and product teams to understand project requirements and translate strategic objectives into creative design solutions.
- Prepare final artwork files for various production methods, ensuring accuracy and optimal output for both digital and print platforms.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Contribute to the creative brainstorming process and development of new marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Stay current with industry trends, design software, and best practices to continually enhance the visual output and effectiveness of marketing materials.
- Provide design support for internal communications and corporate initiatives as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong understanding of graphic design principles, typography, color theory, and layout
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
- A strong online portfolio showcasing a range of design work and creative problem-solving
- Experience with both digital and print design processes and requirements
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and consistency
