Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative and passionate Graphic Designer with a strong focus on branding and marketing to join our dedicated team in Isiro. This pivotal role involves translating ADECO Isiro’s mission, values, and program impact into compelling visual narratives. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our organizational brand identity across all platforms, creating engaging content that resonates with our diverse audiences, from local communities to international partners. The ideal candidate will be a visual storyteller, capable of designing a wide range of materials including digital campaigns, print publications, presentations, and event collateral. You will play a crucial role in amplifying our advocacy efforts, fundraising initiatives, and community engagement programs through innovative and culturally sensitive design solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a consistent visual brand identity for ADECO Isiro across all communication channels.
- Design and produce high-quality print and digital marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, reports, infographics, and banners.
- Create engaging visual content for social media platforms, websites, and email marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate closely with program managers and communications specialists to conceptualize and execute visual strategies for various projects and campaigns.
- Ensure all visual outputs align with ADECO Isiro’s brand guidelines, mission, and target audience needs.
- Prepare presentation materials (e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote) that are visually appealing and convey complex information clearly.
- Assist in the development of video graphics and simple animations where applicable.
- Manage design projects from concept to completion, incorporating feedback and revisions effectively.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure our visuals remain fresh and impactful.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong portfolio showcasing branding, marketing, and graphic design work
- Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both visual and verbal
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Experience with digital and print production processes
- Ability to adapt design styles to various target audiences and cultural contexts
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications, or a related field
- 2+ years of professional experience in graphic design, preferably within an NGO, non-profit, or marketing agency setting
- Experience with motion graphics or video editing software (e.g., After Effects, Premiere Pro)
- Familiarity with web design principles and UI/UX basics
- Proficiency in Swahili or Lingala is a significant advantage
- Experience working in development contexts or with diverse communities
