Job Description
As a UX Designer at Google, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our products and platforms, directly impacting users around the globe. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full design cycle from user research and ideation to prototyping, user testing, and final hand-off.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define project scope and requirements.
- Develop and maintain user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for various platforms (web, mobile, etc.).
- Conduct user research, including interviews, usability studies, and surveys, to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Present and defend design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, incorporating feedback effectively.
- Contribute to and evolve Google's design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across products.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX/UI design.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in UX design for complex software applications or web products.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of UX projects, demonstrating user-centered design principles and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Experience conducting and synthesizing user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with motion design or interactive animation.
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better understand technical constraints.
- Experience designing for large-scale enterprise applications or consumer products with global reach.
- Proven ability to mentor junior designers and contribute to design team culture.
