Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full UX design cycle from research and concept to wireframes, prototypes, and final visual designs.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on product designs.
  • Advocate for the user throughout the product development process, ensuring user needs are met and experiences are intuitive.
  • Develop and maintain detailed user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
  • Contribute to and maintain Google's design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across products.
  • Present and defend design decisions to cross-functional teams and stakeholders, incorporating feedback effectively.
  • Stay updated with the latest UX trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve design practices.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in UX design, product design, or interaction design.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX design projects, demonstrating problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with user-centered design methodologies and usability principles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field.
  • Experience designing for complex enterprise software, B2B applications, or large-scale consumer products.
  • Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better understand technical constraints.
  • Experience with design sprint facilitation and agile development processes.
  • Proven ability to mentor junior designers and contribute to a design culture.
