Key Responsibilities

  • Define, communicate, and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a critical product area, aligning with company-wide objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback analysis to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
  • Translate high-level product strategy into detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, design, UX research, marketing, legal) throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration.
  • Prioritize features and initiatives based on strategic importance, customer impact, and technical feasibility, managing conflicting requirements effectively.
  • Monitor product performance using key metrics, analyze data, and iterate on features to continuously improve user experience and business outcomes.
  • Communicate product updates, performance, and strategic direction to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Champion user needs and advocate for elegant, intuitive solutions that solve real-world problems for Google's diverse user base.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of successfully launching and managing technology products.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute product strategies, roadmaps, and specifications.
  • Strong technical understanding, capable of engaging in deep technical discussions with engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience using data to drive product decisions.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Experience in specific relevant domains (e.g., AI/ML, cloud computing, search technologies, mobile platforms).
  • Familiarity with UX principles and design thinking methodologies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
