As a GM Production Supervisor, you will be the linchpin between management and the production line, translating strategic goals into actionable plans. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of production operators to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards (e.g., ISO/TS).
- Monitor production schedules, workflow, and material flow to identify and address potential bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
- Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular team meetings, provide performance feedback, and facilitate training and development opportunities for team members.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain departments to resolve production issues and optimize processes.
- Prepare and analyze production reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and present findings to management.
- Manage employee attendance, vacation requests, and address disciplinary issues in accordance with company policy.
- Actively participate in problem-solving activities using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, Fishbone) to identify root causes and implement sustainable countermeasures.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a diverse team.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience in the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with production planning and control systems (e.g., SAP, MES).
- Certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
- Experience with robotic systems or automated manufacturing processes.
