Key Responsibilities

  • Actively identify, prospect, and acquire new customers for Glo products and services within the 8 Miles, Calabar area.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, understanding their needs and recommending suitable Glo solutions.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets for various Glo products including SIM activations, data subscriptions, voice plans, and value-added services.
  • Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities and competitor activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to the sales manager.
  • Participate in sales campaigns, product launches, and promotional events as required.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and services offered by Glo and competitors.
  • Collaborate with other sales team members and departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Educate potential and existing customers about the benefits and features of Glo services.

Required Skills

  • Proven sales experience (minimum 1 year), preferably within the telecommunications or FMCG sector.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong persuasion and objection handling abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Goal-oriented with a strong drive to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Good understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office Suite).
  • Residency in or around 8 Miles, Calabar, or willingness to relocate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience selling telecom products (SIM cards, data, airtime, devices).
  • Familiarity with the Calabar market and its demographics.
  • Ability to speak local languages relevant to Calabar (e.g., Efik, Ibibio).
  • Valid driver's license (optional, but a plus).
