Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Efut Abua, Calabar. As a Glo Project Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of various telecommunications projects, ranging from network infrastructure deployments and upgrades to new product launches and service enhancements. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as necessary.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing guidance and support to achieve project milestones.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and successes to stakeholders through regular reports and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee quality assurance and control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess project outcomes and identify lessons learned for future projects.
- Liaise with vendors, contractors, and internal departments to ensure seamless project execution.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in project management, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable).
- Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in budget management and cost control.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
