Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production machinery, automation, and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical, electrical (including PLCs), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct equipment inspections and functional tests to ensure optimal performance and adherence to specifications.
- Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical/mechanical schematics to guide repair and maintenance tasks.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, executing repairs swiftly to minimize equipment downtime.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts utilized within a CMMS.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and optimization of new equipment and production lines.
- Order and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability for critical repairs and preventative maintenance.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical (including PLCs), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex machinery and diagnose issues accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with various hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
- Solid understanding of industrial safety procedures and regulations (e.g., OSHA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with robotic systems and industrial automation platforms.
- Welding or fabrication skills (MIG, TIG, Stick).
- Prior experience specifically within the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- OSHA 10 or 30 Hour General Industry certification.
