Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, accurate, and empathetic support to gaming users via email, chat, and potentially phone.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to game functionality, connectivity, account management, and in-game purchases.
  • Educate users on game features, mechanics, and best practices.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to higher-tier support or development teams as needed.
  • Document user interactions, solutions, and feedback meticulously in our CRM system.
  • Monitor and analyze common user issues to identify trends and suggest improvements.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive knowledge base and FAQ section.
  • Stay up-to-date with new game releases, updates, and platform changes.
  • Adhere to company policies and service level agreements (SLAs) for response and resolution times.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Demonstrated passion for video games and a good understanding of gaming culture.
  • Proficiency with various gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Basic technical troubleshooting skills (e.g., network connectivity, software installation).
  • Customer-centric approach with a positive and patient attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in customer support, technical support, or a gaming-related role.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Zendesk, Salesforce Service Cloud).
  • Experience with live chat support tools.
  • Knowledge of an additional language (e.g., Amharic, Oromo, French, Arabic) is a plus.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts.
  • Experience with online multiplayer games and community management.
