Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome and register guests, assign rooms, and issue room keys.
  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Answer multi-line phones, direct calls, and take messages.
  • Manage reservations, modifications, and cancellations through the property management system (PMS).
  • Process payments, handle cash, and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
  • Provide comprehensive information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments (Housekeeping, Valet, F&B) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including sorting mail and preparing reports.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • A keen eye for detail and high standards for accuracy.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with a Property Management System (PMS) such as Opera or OnQ.
  • A degree or certificate in Hospitality Management.
  • Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Spanish).
  • Familiarity with the St. Petersburg area and local attractions.
