Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, performing efficient check-ins and check-outs.
  • Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately and promptly.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls professionally, managing switchboard operations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of hotel services, facilities, local attractions, and events.
  • Process various payment methods, reconcile daily transactions, and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
  • Liaise with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, F&B) to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Promote hotel amenities and loyalty programs to enhance guest experience.
  • Assist guests with luggage handling and transportation arrangements when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Property Management Systems (PMS) or similar booking software.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Experience with Opera PMS or a similar leading hotel software.
  • Fluency in a second language (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese, French).
  • Previous experience in a hotel front desk role.
