Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, pallet jack) to move, stack, and retrieve materials and products.
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring accurate counts and proper handling of goods.
  • Transport products and materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, and production lines.
  • Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance on forklifts, reporting any issues immediately.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts, maintaining accurate records, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and products are properly stored.
  • Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet daily production targets.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Forklift Operator, with at least 1 year of experience operating sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts.
  • Valid forklift certification.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and repetitive movements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
  • Familiarity with scanning equipment and barcoding systems.
  • Experience operating specialized equipment like order pickers or clamp trucks.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
