Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, pallet jack) to move, stack, and retrieve materials and products.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring accurate counts and proper handling of goods.
- Transport products and materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, and production lines.
- Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance on forklifts, reporting any issues immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts, maintaining accurate records, and reporting discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and products are properly stored.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet daily production targets.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator, with at least 1 year of experience operating sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and repetitive movements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
- Familiarity with scanning equipment and barcoding systems.
- Experience operating specialized equipment like order pickers or clamp trucks.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
