Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting in-depth financial investigations into alleged fraud, embezzlement, and other financial misconduct.
  • Analysing complex financial data, records, and systems to identify irregularities and patterns.
  • Preparing detailed expert reports, presentations, and schedules to document findings and support conclusions.
  • Assisting in litigation support, including damage quantification, dispute resolution, and expert witness testimony.
  • Collaborating with legal counsel, law enforcement, and internal teams on investigations.
  • Performing financial due diligence and risk assessments related to fraud and financial crime.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Developing and implementing preventative measures and internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
  • Staying abreast of regulatory changes, industry trends, and new forensic accounting techniques.
  • Mentoring junior team members and contributing to knowledge sharing within the practice.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in forensic accounting, audit, or financial investigation.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and auditing standards.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and data interpretation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client interaction.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.

  • Prior experience in a Big Four or large accounting firm.
  • Knowledge of legal processes related to financial disputes and investigations.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
