Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and parts, verifying counts against packing lists and identifying any discrepancies or damages.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all items are correctly identified and securely packaged.
- Operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner (certification or willingness to obtain required).
- Maintain organized and clean warehouse aisles, storage areas, and work stations.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist in reconciling inventory discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve operational issues.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and scanning equipment to track inventory movement and update records.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Identify and report any maintenance needs for equipment or facility to appropriate personnel.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
- Basic computer literacy for operating warehouse management systems.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners.
- Previous experience in the automotive industry or parts distribution.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high productivity.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
