Job Description

BRALIMA is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Processing Operator for our factory production line in Kalemie, Tanganyika Province. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor automated and semi-automated processing and packaging machinery according to established procedures.
  • Perform routine quality checks on products at various stages of production, ensuring adherence to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work environment, strictly following all hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and HACCP principles.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, production issues, or quality deviations to supervisory staff promptly.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials, product packaging, and palletizing finished goods.
  • Follow production schedules and ensure production targets are met efficiently.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meticulously follow instructions.
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for operating and monitoring machinery.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.
  • Basic literacy (ability to read and understand operational manuals and safety signs).

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a food, beverage, or manufacturing production environment.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards (HACCP).
  • Basic understanding of quality control principles.
  • Experience with forklift operation or other material handling equipment is a plus.
