Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, sorting, washing, and cutting of various food ingredients (fruits, vegetables, meats, etc.) according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain basic food processing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all food handling and processing procedures comply with HACCP, USDA, and company food safety guidelines.
- Package and label food products accurately and efficiently for storage and distribution.
- Monitor product quality and report any deviations or concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment, including daily cleaning of workstations, equipment, and processing areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service, food production, or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of HACCP or other food safety certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knife skills.
- Fluency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.
