Key Responsibilities
- Perform various tasks related to the processing of fish and seafood products, including sorting, grading, cutting, cleaning, and packaging.
- Operate and monitor processing equipment as directed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, following all food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP, CFIA standards).
- Inspect products for quality and defects, reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient production flow and meet daily targets.
- Handle raw and processed seafood products carefully to prevent damage and contamination.
- Assist with loading and unloading products as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the production supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
- Comfortable working in a cold and wet environment (typical of a fish processing plant).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills in English.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
