Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive first-level IT support and expert troubleshooting for hardware, software, network, and system issues affecting branch staff.
  • Install, configure, and meticulously maintain computer systems, printers, scanners, and all other essential IT peripherals.
  • Efficiently diagnose and resolve technical problems, escalating more complex issues to specialized central IT teams when necessary.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights rigorously in accordance with established bank policies and security protocols.
  • Ensure the utmost security and integrity of all IT systems and critical data at the branch level, strictly adhering to all security protocols and guidelines.
  • Perform regular system health checks, data backups, and routine maintenance tasks to guarantee optimal system performance and reliability.
  • Assist proactively with the seamless deployment of new software applications and critical system upgrades.
  • Provide clear, concise basic training and practical guidance to users on IT best practices, new technologies, and secure system usage.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all IT assets, reported issues, and their resolutions utilizing the helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Collaborate effectively with central IT teams to successfully implement bank-wide IT initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Ensure absolute compliance with the bank's IT policies, industry standards, and all relevant regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in IT support, helpdesk operations, or a similar technical role.
  • Solid understanding of various operating systems (Windows OS proficiency is essential; basic Linux knowledge is a plus).
  • Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting and repair for desktops, laptops, printers, and basic networking devices.
  • Familiarity with fundamental network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and basic network troubleshooting techniques.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite and commonly used business applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a methodical approach to issue resolution.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a genuine customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as an integral part of a team in a dynamic and demanding environment.
