Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and analytical support to Financial Advisors, enhancing their capacity to serve clients effectively.
- Assist in the preparation, review, and presentation of detailed financial plans, projections, and reports for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct research on various investment products, market trends, economic indicators, and financial planning strategies to support advisor recommendations.
- Manage client documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and strict adherence to regulatory compliance standards and internal policies.
- Maintain and update client information within CRM systems and other proprietary platforms, safeguarding data integrity and privacy.
- Coordinate client meetings, prepare agendas, compile necessary materials, and follow up on action items as required to ensure seamless client engagement.
- Process new business applications, trades, and other financial transactions efficiently and accurately, adhering to strict deadlines.
- Act as a professional point of contact for client inquiries, directing them appropriately or resolving issues within scope, always maintaining a high standard of client service.
- Support the team with general office administration and special projects as assigned, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a support role within the financial services industry, preferably in financial planning or wealth management.
- Demonstrated understanding of core financial planning concepts, investment products, and insurance principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, a meticulous attention to detail, and a strong ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Client-focused approach with a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with utmost care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Completion or enrollment in industry courses such as the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Wealth Management Essentials (WME), or working towards a financial planning designation (e.g., QAFP, CFP).
- Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Naviplan, FP Solutions) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics 365).
