Key Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial policies and procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA) and best practices.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and support to the Executive Board on all matters related to financial performance, investment opportunities, and risk management.
- Oversee all financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP).
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to optimize financial resources.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, presenting actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional development.
- Ensure effective internal controls are in place and regularly reviewed to safeguard company assets.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks.
- Drive financial efficiency and cost-saving initiatives across the organization.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a similar senior financial leadership role (CFO, Head of Finance).
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis within the UK market.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance within the financial services sector (e.g., FCA rules).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.
