Job Description
Prime Meridian Bank is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a crucial remote collaboration role based out of the Southwood, Tallahassee area, designed for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about supporting financial operations with precision and efficiency. As a Finance Coordinator, you will play an integral part in ensuring the smooth functioning of our financial processes, providing essential support to our accounting department and various business units. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to bank policies.
- Reconcile various bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and credit card statements on a monthly basis, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring proper classification and documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and analyses for internal management and external auditors.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation, both physical and electronic, ensuring compliance with retention policies.
- Collaborate effectively with remote team members and other departments to gather necessary financial information and ensure seamless workflow.
- Support the annual budgeting process and assist with expense tracking and variance analysis.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls, recommending and implementing efficiencies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
