Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Finance Clerk to join our Office Accounting team in Downtown Canton. This pivotal role provides essential support to our finance department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. As a Finance Clerk, you will be instrumental in the day-to-day accounting operations, handling everything from data entry and reconciliation to assisting with financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

  • Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of accounts, including bank statements and general ledger entries, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records, both physical and digital, for easy retrieval and auditing purposes.
  • Assist with the preparation of various financial reports, statements, and analyses as required by management.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes through accurate data entry and preliminary analysis.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, internal departments, and customers regarding financial inquiries and resolutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (intermediate level required).
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an office accounting or administrative role.
