Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join our dynamic team in San Marco, Jacksonville. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability assessments to support strategic decision-making.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with departmental leaders to gather data and build comprehensive financial models.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions efficiently and accurately, maintaining meticulous records.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
- Participate in month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all accounting tasks.
- Provide ad-hoc financial support and analysis for special projects as required by senior management or other business units.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial information clearly.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a hybrid work environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of financial principles, accounting standards (GAAP), and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA candidate).
- Experience with financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday Financials).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Prior experience working in a large, regulated financial institution.
