Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join our Accounting Office team in Smyrna, Delaware. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and performance metrics reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within financial operations.
- Participate in cross-functional projects, providing financial expertise and analytical support.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required by senior leadership.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
- Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, SAP, Oracle Financials).
