Job Description
BMSS Advisors & CPAs is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Remote Finance Administrator to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Perform accurate and timely data entry for all financial transactions into accounting software, ensuring data integrity.
- Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively.
- Prepare various financial reports, statements, and summaries for internal review, including expense reports and budget vs. actual analyses.
- Support the finance team in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain organized and comprehensive financial records and documentation, both physical and digital, ensuring compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding financial inquiries and issues.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by compiling relevant data and contributing to financial projections.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement within financial administration and propose solutions to enhance efficiency.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting administrative role.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar ERP systems).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all financial documentation and data entry.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for clear internal and external correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
