Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Officer (Oficial de Campo) to join our dynamic team in Munich with an immediate start. This pivotal role involves representing Siemens on the ground, ensuring the smooth execution of our projects and services across various sites. As a Field Officer, you will be the primary point of contact for clients and project teams in the field, responsible for site assessments, monitoring project progress, overseeing quality control, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. You will utilize your technical expertise to identify potential issues, troubleshoot minor problems, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to find effective solutions. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work autonomously while providing comprehensive reports to management. Your work will directly contribute to Siemens’ reputation for reliability and operational excellence, ensuring our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, quality of work, and adherence to specifications.
- Act as a primary liaison between project managers, clients, contractors, and internal teams on site.
- Perform detailed site inspections and assessments, identifying potential risks, non-compliance issues, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on all project sites.
- Assist in the resolution of field-level technical issues and coordinate with engineering teams for complex problem-solving.
- Prepare comprehensive daily/weekly reports on site activities, progress, challenges, and resource allocation.
- Verify proper installation, maintenance, and operation of equipment and systems.
- Support the commissioning and handover processes of completed projects.
- Maintain accurate records of all field activities, documentation, and client interactions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to on-site personnel and subcontractors.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a field-based role, project coordination, or site supervision.
- Technical degree or vocational qualification in engineering, electronics, mechanics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken (C1 level or higher).
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Valid German driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel extensively within Germany.
- Proficiency in using standard office software (MS Office Suite) and project management tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and project plans.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the industrial automation, energy, smart infrastructure, or transportation sectors.
- Fluency in Spanish (B2 level or higher) to support potential diverse team collaborations or client interactions.
- Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or relevant safety qualifications.
- Knowledge of Siemens products and systems.
- Experience with digital field service tools or mobile reporting applications.
