Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior Field Officers and project teams with daily operational tasks and site activities.
  • Conduct routine site observations, inspections, and data collection using specified tools and procedures.
  • Support the implementation and adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols on-site.
  • Maintain accurate records of field activities, including work progress, material usage, and incident reporting.
  • Operate basic field equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
  • Engage with community members and stakeholders with professionalism and respect, providing clear communication as directed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in infrastructure management and construction techniques.

Required Skills

  • Valid New Zealand Class 1 Driver's Licence (essential for field travel)
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

  • NCEA Level 2 or equivalent secondary school qualification
  • Basic First Aid certification
