Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior Field Officers and project teams with daily operational tasks and site activities.
- Conduct routine site observations, inspections, and data collection using specified tools and procedures.
- Support the implementation and adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols on-site.
- Maintain accurate records of field activities, including work progress, material usage, and incident reporting.
- Operate basic field equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Engage with community members and stakeholders with professionalism and respect, providing clear communication as directed.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in infrastructure management and construction techniques.
Required Skills
- Valid New Zealand Class 1 Driver's Licence (essential for field travel)
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Commitment to health and safety standards
Preferred Qualifications
- NCEA Level 2 or equivalent secondary school qualification
- Basic First Aid certification
- Previous experience in a manual labour, outdoor, or customer-facing role
