Job Description
Are you passionate about nature, wildlife, and inspiring others to connect with the great outdoors? Aventerra GmbH, a leading provider of experiential education and adventure travel in Germany, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Field Guides. This unique opportunity offers comprehensive training to equip you with the skills and knowledge to lead captivating nature observation tours and wilderness experiences across Germany’s diverse landscapes.
At Aventerra, we believe in the power of direct experience to foster personal growth and environmental awareness. While the term ‘Safari Guide’ traditionally evokes images of African savannas, our Field Guides lead immersive ‘nature safaris’ right here in Germany – expeditions into national parks, forests, and nature reserves where participants observe local wildlife, learn about ecosystems, and engage in outdoor skills. This role is perfect for someone looking to start a career in outdoor education or nature tourism, regardless of prior guiding experience. We are committed to providing you with all the necessary tools to succeed.
As a Field Guide, you will be the face of Aventerra’s commitment to nature education. You will facilitate engaging and educational experiences for groups of all ages, from school children to adults, fostering a deep appreciation for Germany’s rich biodiversity. Your training will cover everything from local flora and fauna identification, tracking techniques, first aid in remote settings, group leadership, and effective communication strategies. We emphasize safety, environmental stewardship, and creating unforgettable memories for our participants. This isn’t just a job; it’s a calling to share your burgeoning love for the wild and guide others through transformative encounters with nature.
We are looking for individuals who are not afraid of challenging terrain or unpredictable weather, who possess an innate curiosity about the natural world, and who thrive in a dynamic, outdoor work environment. If you are a natural communicator, a patient educator, and genuinely excited about guiding people through the breathtaking natural beauty of Germany, we encourage you to apply. Join Aventerra and embark on a rewarding journey where every day brings a new discovery and the chance to make a tangible impact on environmental understanding and appreciation.
